First Steps Rifle Orientation
This course is a hands on introduction to safe handling and proper orientation to a one specific rifle action. This class is perfect for new purchasers of rifles, someone interested in trying the sport or children's first class.
Course Description: In this three (3) hour long class you will learn the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle. This includes:
- This course is at least 3-hours long and includes classroom and range time
- Learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the rifle; and continued opportunities for skill development.
- Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet and the FIRST Steps Complete
- Take a First Steps Course Completion Examination and receive a course certificate upon completion.

Private Lessons available.
- $75 per hour (one person)
- $125 per hour (two people)
Parent or guardian must accompany child in class. Parents are welcome to be the other student! Please call to schedule.
